Life Camp
Empowering Independence, One Step at a Time
Life Camp at Camp Allen New Hampshire is a transformative seven-day experience designed specifically for young adults who are ready to grow, learn and take meaningful steps toward independent living. Whether participants are just beginning their journey or building on existing life skills, Life Camp offers the tools and support to help them succeed - wherever they are on the path.
This intimate program is limited to just 12 campers, creating a close-knit environment where individuals can collaborate and let their voices be heard. Throughout the week, participants build life skills, grow in self-awareness and gain hands-on experience in everyday life situations.
As part of the experience, each camper receives a $100 allowance (included in the tuition) to manage their own spending on meals, transportation, activities and more during the week.
Campers will explore a variety of practical and empowering topics, including:
Resume building and interview skills, including a mock interview with a local professional.
Healthy living with guidance from a visiting medical doctor.
Civic engagement and self-advocacy through conversations with a local legislator.
Money management and budgeting for everyday life.
Cooperative living and compromise in shared spaces.
Time management and setting personal goals.
Cooking and nutrition, with fun, hands-on meal prep sessions.
Life Camp is more than a program, it’s a week filled with encouragement, personal growth and meaningful friendships. Campers leave with greater confidence and a renewed belief in what’s possible.
Come be a part of something special and take the next step toward independence at Camp Allen NH.
“I look forward to Life Camp every year! I always learn new skills, visit new places, and leave feeling more confident and independent.” — Jackie, Life Camper
